Success...in one eye

Interestingly, I saw a major change in my right eye almost immediately after the stents were removed.  The tearing in that eye had completely stopped.  The left eye, however, did not stop tearing, but it was noticeably tearing less often.  When I talked to the doctor again about 3 weeks after the stents were removed, I gave him the good news about the change that I saw post-removal.  Because the left eye continues to tear, we decided to repeat the surgery in that eye.  Surgery has been scheduled for March 12th, left eye only.
